With so many unique outdoor areas, you will have the perfect spot for your sangeet ceremony, hena, pithi ceremony, baraat and wedding ceremony. The estate offers an indoor and outdoor flow in a truly tranquil setting with your dining experience seated indoors under a canopy of vines for your wedding reception.
We host only one wedding per day, giving you exclusive access to all the beautiful gardens for creating magical memories. Your guests will enjoy the beautiful gardens and country surroundings as well as the indoor ambience of the stone fireplace and main reception area. Traditional Indian Cuisine
Enjoy traditional indian canapes after your wedding ceremony along with a themed grazing table.
Your delightful Indian reception dinner can be presented on family-style sharing plates or via a buffet in our specially designed buffet room.

A retro disco night out with a fun twist
Who doesn’t like the 60’s, 70’s 80’s & 90’s eras? Markovina Estate is a great venue and we have a lot of fun with the Boogie Nights theme! The Estate venue is transformed into a disco wonderland and of course we provide plenty of quality food and drinks.
All you will need to worry about is which pair or flares you would like to wear.
To join a Combined Event, we require a minimum of 10 people. This is great for small to medium sized companies who want to have a fantastic evening with the atmosphere of being part of a bigger event.
Barrel Waterfall
Experience pure serenity in front of the Barrel Waterfall while your guests watch on in comfort, seated amongst the olive trees.
The trees provide great shade for your guests, perfect for weddings on hot, sunny days. In front of the original barrel from our winery, you are able to say your wedding vows to each other in front of the waterfall on a picturesque small jetty.
The barrel waterfall also has a beautiful stone signing table and plinths nearby which can easily be decorated.
Cherry Blossom Round
The newest ceremony location, the Cherry Blossom Round is a truly unique setting to recite your vows.
With a dedicated aisle gradually rising up to the round, choose to have your wedding ceremony in an enclosed circle, a spiral, half-moon, or traditionally forward facing toward the beautiful Cherry Blossom Trees.
The trees blossom in spring, then becoming leafy and green in summer lasting until Autumn when they turn amber before losing their leaves for winter.
The Palms
Located just to the left of our Pebble Beach, a beautiful garden of magnificent palm trees provides the perfect backdrop for a garden wedding.
Nestled in nature and with a pond nearby, The Palms are an ideal location for a large mandap and this makes a serene location all year round to say, “I do”.
Pebble Beach
Located on the opposite side of our largest pond, across from the Two Kauris, the Pebble Beach provides a small, intimate location surrounded by large trees and manicured gardens.
Recite your vows overlooking the pond, with a beautiful stone feature and Two Kauri Trees in the background.
Stone Fireplace
Our Otago schist fireplace provides the perfect back drop for a winter wedding or a wet summer's day, while still being surrounded by the beautiful gardens.
Positioned at the end of the foyer, the large glass sliding doors
can be easily opened and closed, making the fireplace
a great ceremony location all year round.
Pergoda
Standing out from the surrounding gardens, the small white Pergoda provides an intimate ceremony location for smaller weddings.
Beautiful without decorations, or easy to add, the Pergoda is a classic selection for a garden wedding.
Perfect for unity candles, tea ceremonies, or just a private
quiet moment as newlyweds.
The Barrels
Celebrate your love in front of the beautiful barrel display
featuring 11 barrels, superb for a vineyard wedding.
As a great location all year round, The Barrels provide a shaded seating area for your guests in summer or a sunny spot receiving all day sun in cooler months.
The barrels are a perfect bridal party and group photo backdrop.
Two Kauri Trees
Towering above the surrounding gardens, Two Kauri Trees perfectly frame the aisle and altar in front of our jetty and pond.
The trees set the scene for outstanding memories, creating a stunning background for an outdoor wedding ceremony location all year.
A beautiful stone signing table sets the scene for a perfect photo opportunity.
Chestnut Tree
The Chestnut Tree is situated in a beautiful open space surrounded by vines and trees within our gardens. It provides an incredible backdrop for your ceremony.
Standing out from the rest, this ceremony area is a true statement piece and a destination once you walk through our aisle of Jacaranda trees,
Blooms in December and green through late Spring to Autumn. The Chestnut Tree is also an outstanding photographic opportunity in Winter.

You may desire a morning ceremony but with an evening reception, or your ceremony one day and your reception the next. An early afternoon cultural ceremony, followed by mingling and then a legal ceremony in another beautiful location of the estate, followed by your reception.

FAQs
Do you have Indian chefs?
Yes, we have a culturally diverse kitchen team that is run by an Indian head chef.
Can we have an open flame at our ceremony
The open flame is one of the most sacred rituals in indian weddings and this is welcome at Markovina.
Can we have an Indian fusion menu?
Yes, you can. You can choose from our European premium menu, Indian vegetarian menu, Indian menu or create your own fusion menu.
Do you cater for vegetarian weddings?
Yes we have a fully vegetarian (and eggless if required) menu that can be chosen for your wedding.
Can we have an alcohol free wedding?
Yes, we can remove the all inclusive beverage package and replace it with our premium non-alcoholic beverage package. This includes soft drinks, juices, premium soft drinks as well as a mocktail station of 3 non-alcoholic cocktails for the length of your wedding. Tea and filter coffee are also included. You can also choose our standard non-alcoholic beverage package and reduce the price per person.
Can we have additional time at the venue?
Our wedding package includes 7 hours from the beginning of your ceremony or baraat until the music finishes. Guests are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early and have usually left within 30 minutes of the finish time. We can easily extend the time and we can also extend the beverage package along with the extension of venue hire.
What is your wet weather option for a large ceremony?
Our Otago schist fireplace ceremony provides the perfect back drop for a winter wedding or a wet summer's day, while still being surrounded by the beautiful gardens. This area can hold up to 200 guests seated, and for a larger wedding ceremony we can extend into the dancefloor or our reception space.
