Wedding Events
Payments & Cancellation Charges
Any deposit paid is non-refundable.
Depending on when you cancel, there may be other cancellation charges.
They are calculated based on the notice given prior to your wedding date.
Full cancellation policy is located in our wedding brochure & your wedding contract
Final payment based on your minimum spend and/or minimum numbers is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date. Any additional costs over and above the minimum spend are due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.
Tentative Bookings
We can hold a tentative booking for up to seven days to give you a chance to confirm that we are the perfect venue for you. If there is another client wishing to book your date we will ask for a decision sooner.
To confirm your booking, we require a signed agreement and deposit.
Guest Numbers and Menu Choices
Numbers must be confirmed 3 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Final menu decisions must be made a month prior to your wedding day. Details such as guest numbers, menu selection and any other items will be discussed at the planning meetings, hosted approx. 9 months prior, and 6 weeks prior to the wedding date.
A final minor details check is also conducted a few days prior to the wedding.
Storage, Handling, and Damage
At times, Markovina Estate may store or handle your event items on your behalf.
If this is the case, please collect your items the morning following your event. If you are not able to, please make arrangement with the office. Any items left onsite without making prior arrangements will be assumed to be not wanted and will be discarded or donated.
Markovina Estate will assume no responsibility for any loss or damages to stored items.
Wishing well contents & gifts, please arrange for these to be collected on the day of your wedding.
Any items left behind by guests that are found after you have collected your wedding items will be kept as lost property for up to seven days and can be collected by your guests.
Unlawful Activity
The client and Markovina Estate and its employees will comply with all legal compliance requirements including: health and safety, liquor licencing, lawful orders of police and/or fire services and will not do anything on the event premises in violation of any laws, rules or orders.
Host Responsibility
Markovina Estate is a licenced premises and we do have a host responsibility policy in place. Management reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to minors and anyone displaying signs of intoxication. Due to liquor licence requirements,
no intoxicated guests are able to enter or remain on site. Management reserve the right to ask a guest to leave or to close the bar early.
Water and a range of non-alcoholic beverages are available free-of-charge at all times.
